Synchronized Skating
What Is Synchro?
- Synchronized skating is a team sport in which 8-20 skaters perform a program together including, speed, formations and step sequences all together, connected, and performing those things at the same time.
- It’s done with a program to music, usually with a theme, and in 8 counts kind of like dance.
- There are so many benefits to participating in a team sport and synchronized skating is a great way for figure skaters to compete in a sport they love while enjoying all of the aspects of working with others!
- It’s also a leading form of competitive skating through college and adulthood.
Our Goal:
- This clinic will teach skaters the fundamentals of a synchronized skating program. There are no obligations or team commitments to participate in the clinic.
- On week 5 of the clinic, we will have a parent meeting to go over what it means to be on a competitive team, fall team budget, expectations, etc. We hope to have 2 competitive teams for the 2023-2024 season that will start practice in August July and August
